A blog by Co-Owner of The Hive, Elsii Faria
After a hiatus from the professional art world, I found my way back to creativity by creating art with intention and letting go of the outcome. A love of nature and ancient practices influenced me along the way.
At the end of 2016, I began developing a series of creative nature workshops combined with personal growth concepts for The Hive’s BEE Creative Art Series – designed to help people connect to themselves and nature. My husband and daughter helped me by participating in creative sessions and offering insight and input.
The “Circle Back to Nature” workshop is part of the series. It is a heart-warming experience to see adults, youth and children find the artist within by creating and connecting with natural materials.
Take a look at the video of the workshop from a session at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Spring 2018.
I will be at various locations in the fall/winter including the Station Gallery. Private sessions at The Hive and in the community are also available. Looking forward to creating with you!
