An erect plant with a small cluster of yellow flowers on the top of the main branch, flowering from July – September.
Leaves and flowers can be used for a salad or for a tea. Leaves can be fresh, dried or frozen – add to soups, stews and stir fries.
Antioxidant, Antifungal, High Vitamin C content.
Although many believe Goldenrod aggravates seasonal allergies, only wind-pollinated plants like Ragweed cause allergic reactions. Goldenrod is pollinated by insects and produces virtually no pollen.
