Our morning walk will begin at The Hive Centre (the church), weave through natural elements of The Hive Bed & Breakfast, and into the enchanted nature reserve.
During the guided walk, you will learn a little about the beneficial qualities of plants and wild food and feel the powerful benefiits of Forest Bathing / Shinrin-Yoku.
The term “Shinrin-Yoku” was coined by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries in 1982. It can be defined as making contact with and taking in the atmosphere of the forest for scientifically proven health benefits.
According to scientific studies benefits include: boosted immune system; improved mood, emotions, energy, focus, sleep and clarity;
